​​The FJ Friday Feature Blog gives a chance for our candidates and clients to get to know our team better. This week's FJ Friday Feature speaks with Rachel Lennox, one of our 2020 hires. Rachel has recently been promoted to Executive Search Consultant and is based in our Didsbury office.

1. What initially got you into recruitment?

A recruiter funnily enough. I applied for a job online through a recruitment company. She rang me and after we spoke she said have you ever considered recruitment because I think you would be great at it and here I am haha.

2. What are your favourite things about working at FJ?

The company culture. Having moved up to Manchester during a pandemic, I was worried about making friends but everyone was so welcoming and I really feel like I’ve made friends for life.

​

3. What goals do you have for the next 5 years?

Ooo, I’ve got big plans! Work related - I’m hoping to work my way up to a management position and go abroad for a couple of years. Home - I want to own my own house, and get a chow chow called Kevin.

​

4. What you recommend to someone who is just starting up in recruitment?

Aways believe in yourself, it’s amazing what you can do when you put your mind to it. Aim high - go hard or go home. 

​

5. Describe your perfect, non-work day.

Either retail therapy or going to the beer garden on a nice sunny day with all my friends!
