​I am co-owner and the Chief Operating Officer at Finlay James and Talentskowt. I oversee the HR, Marketing, and Finance functions and work alongside John, the company’s CEO (and my husband!) on business strategy and growth.

My mission is to empower all our recruitment consultants male and female, to love what they do, get rewarded, and make the most out of their careers. I am passionate about creating inclusive workplaces where employees, including women, can thrive and this includes challenging gender bias and the stigma of mental ill-health in the workplace as well as championing flexible working. I hope that International Women’s Day will help to shine a light on equal rights and opportunities for all. To get us there, the world needs women at every table where decisions are being made.

When I started at FJ in 2013 (as an employee originally) I was one of only a handful of females in the business. I am so proud that we now have more women than men in the business and many of these in senior positions.

Throughout my life, I have had invaluable support from both men and women and I have always desired to ‘make a difference’ and give back where I can. I volunteer at several charities local to me and in 2017 I gave up alcohol for a year to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support. Over four years later I am still alcohol-free and I love it!

I am Mum to 21-year old twins – Erin and Joe - who are in their final years at university. They are without a doubt the thing that I am most proud of. The reason I get up and show up every single day; why I am encouraged on a daily basis to explore new things, look for new challenges and opportunities, and my greatest inspiration!
