Business Development Manager
The Role:
The Business Development Manager - EdTech works within a Sector will take ownership of new account acquisition and hold the key customer relationship and incremental business development
Own and manage overall account development, retention strategy and win-themes for your customer(s)- maintained in an up to date ‘live’ Account Plan and Account pipeline and forecasts in the agreed tools
Own and deliver the business development targets as agreed for the customer(s) and contribute to the wider Edtech BP achievement, focusing on growth
Develop and maintain an up to date knowledge on all products and services and an awareness of the wider portfolio
Identify opportunities for growth in the portfolio of services
Regularly reviews and proactively manages pipeline to ensure opportunities are acted on as required
Uses all available resources (e.g. LinkedIn and marketing) to develop opportunities
Have deep understanding of a range of existing accounts. Articulate this knowledge in account plans which clearly identify personal, relevant, high-level customer relationships and white space opportunities across a range of accounts.

This is the EdTech division of a well known UK leading software vendor
Over 100 local authorities use this EdTech software solution
In 2021, over 560,000 school place applications were successfully processed through the software
1000+ schools are supported by their HR & Payroll platform
This position will be part of a new, growing team focussing on National schools and Multi-Academy trusts
The Ideal Candidate:
2 years+ experience selling into schools and education institutions
Experience of managing bids and tenders as part of the sales process
Comfortable in engaging confidently at senior executive level
Ability to personally close new business opportunities
Able to travel and stay away from home when required
Good presentation skills
Highly motivated and tenacious self-starter
Ability to work independently and on own initiative as well as in teams
A fast learner who can understand business issues and identify and articulate solutions
What You’ll Get:
Salary of up to £60,000 plus double OTE
25 days holiday plus bank holidays
