Job Title: VP of Finance
Hybrid – commutable to Jersey
The Role:
This is a VP of Finance and Accounting
Build and maintain the budget: $10M ARR, and $8M in spend
Ensure the business is GAP compliant and maintain chart of accounts in proper order
Handle payment processes, billing, and recurring expenses
Report hyper specific metrics: gross retention, gross margin, COGS, retention rate, YOY growth, contracted recurring revenue, average contract value, etc in order to advise the business based on findings
Prepare financials and reporting for VCs and review budget on an as needed basis
Support forecasting where needed, sales and marketing currently handle most KPIs
Short team plan: build out a team under including a bookkeeper, AP, and AR. Long term plan: oversee an entire accounting team and a small finance division

They are modernizing an outdated industry, most competitors are not cloud based and were built in the 90s

The Ideal Candidate:
You must be able to commute to the Jersey office at least once bi-weekly
Must have experience managing a budget of over $2M in spend
Must come from the SaaS space 5+ years
